The love we seek has never been outside of us. It has been hidden, quietly waiting, deep within the tender chambers of our own hearts. Getting the love, we want and long for goes beyond the physical, beyond physical parents and family. Our faithful friend and comfort of our breath, and beyond the physical breath our spiritual mother and father. On this journey of life, we come to realize that we receive what we put out. And when we learn to have deep compassion for ourselves — to nurture the parts of us that long, ache, and yearn — we create space to receive. We open to the warmth of grace, melting into a union far greater than any love we’ve known with a child or a lover. It’s a sacred heart-opening — what I call a heartgasm — where our soul meets the divine in blissful embrace.

We are not merely human beings stumbling through a worldly experience. As I often say, we are spiritual beings having a human experience. Our true nature is divine. Yet, somewhere along the way, in the journey of losing ourselves, we are called to find our true self again — our soul-self, nestled deep in the sanctuary of the spiritual heart.

The greatest obstacle on this path? It’s the distance between our head and our heart. Beyond the belief that we are just this body, beyond the material world’s grip, beyond the rationalizations of our limited mind — there lies an expansion into the invisible, into the unseen. It’s here that our soul begins to truly experience spirit — the grace of God’s blissful glory.

For many years, I was stuck in the physical. I focused on fitness, believing that strengthening the body would quiet the war raging between my two ears. And while movement helped, I realized there was still a higher mountain to climb — one not of the body, but of the mind and spirit. To rise higher, I had to cultivate the most important relationship there is: the relationship with my Self.

But who is this self we point to when we place a hand on our chest? It is not our ego or our body. It is our eternal spirit — vast, limitless, and whole.

The journey is not easy. It is a climb, filled with obstacles, discomforts, demons, and roadblocks. Yet every challenge is preparation. My ultra-marathon training taught me this — that everything in life is preparing us for what’s to come. And even in the uncertainty, there is a way. The way knows the way. Each struggle, each pain, and each joy is leading us back to our purpose: to heal, to love, and to serve.

We are here not to fear death, but to transcend the endless cycles of rebirth — the returning again and again to the pains and pleasures of duality and body consciousness. We are here to awaken to eternal, universal consciousness — to know ourselves as whole, complete, and one with all that is.

This is the journey to the heart.
This is the return to divine love.
And this, dear soul, is why you are here.
