Why Breathwork at Yoga Studios
or Health and Wellness Centers?

Simply breathe, inhale, exhale; you’ve heard and said those words countless times. A long-recognized benefit of a deep, cleansing breath is its ability to calm our instinctive stress responses and help us feel more grounded.

Breathwork has its origins in the ancient Hindu practice of yogic breathing known as Pranayama, which translates as “breath control” in Sanskrit. Breathwork as we know it today began in the mid-1960s.

Breathwork is a new wellness trend that is sweeping the country this year, reconnecting us with our ancestral roots and self-healing resources. Breathwork is a simple, natural method for enhancing and maintaining one’s health and well-being.

Self-reported benefits of yoga combined with breathwork includes reduced stress, depression, good mood, mindfulness, and social connectedness.

What your students may experience from a Breakthrough Breathing Workshop?

Breathwork is entirely experiential, which means that it is not only unique to each individual, but also unique each time it is performed. The experience is determined by your entry point on that particular day and moment, the instructor, the playlist, and your willingness to participate. If you are committed to the approach, you can anticipate leaving each session with an open heart filled with gratitude and a new perspective.

This Breathwork technique is practiced while lying on your back in a relaxed position. Music will be played in the background to assist in motivating, evoking, relaxing, and releasing any trapped emotions that are preventing you from experiencing health, peace, joy, and fulfillment.
